1. Acceptance of Terms
1.1 Agreement
By accessing or using BuildCVFast ("Service", "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to all terms, do not use the Service.
1.2 Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use BuildCVFast. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this age requirement.
1.3 Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users by email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. Permitted Use
2.1 Personal Use
BuildCVFast is provided for personal job search and career development use. You may create CVs for yourself or, with their explicit consent, for direct family members.
2.2 Prohibited Uses
You may not use BuildCVFast to: create CVs for commercial resale or distribution; scrape, copy, or reverse-engineer our templates or content; use automated tools to access the service; create fraudulent or misleading CVs; violate any applicable laws or regulations.
2.3 Acceptable Content
All information you input into your CV must be truthful and accurate. BuildCVFast is not responsible for the accuracy of user-submitted content. Submitting false information in a CV may have legal consequences under applicable employment law.
3. Intellectual Property
3.1 Our Content
The BuildCVFast platform, templates, design elements, content suggestions, and underlying software are owned by BuildCVFast and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
3.2 Your Content
The personal information and content you enter into your CV (name, work history, skills, etc.) remains your property. By using the Service, you grant BuildCVFast a limited, non-exclusive licence to process your content solely to provide the Service.
3.3 Your CV Output
The final CV document you create is yours to use freely for personal job applications. You may not resell, redistribute, or commercialize the CV template design itself.
3.4 Feedback
If you submit feedback or suggestions, you grant BuildCVFast the right to use such feedback without compensation or attribution obligation.
4. Free Plan & Pro Subscription
4.1 Free Plan
The free plan grants access to 5 CV templates, smart content generation, and PDF download. Free plan CVs include a BuildCVFast watermark in the footer. The free plan is available indefinitely with no expiry.
4.2 Pro Subscription
Pro subscriptions are billed monthly or annually at the rates displayed on our Pricing page. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
4.3 Payment Processing
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store payment card details. By subscribing, you agree to Stripe's terms of service.
4.4 Cancellation
You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting support. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain Pro access until then.
4.5 Refunds
We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee for new Pro subscriptions. If you are not satisfied, contact support@buildcvfast.com within 30 days of your first payment for a full refund. Renewals are non-refundable.
5. Disclaimer & Limitations
5.1 No Job Guarantee
BuildCVFast does not guarantee employment outcomes. We provide tools to help you create professional CVs, but interview success depends on many factors outside our control.
5.2 ATS Compatibility
While our templates are designed to be ATS-compatible, we cannot guarantee that your CV will pass every ATS system, as different employers use different software with different settings.
5.3 Service Availability
We aim for 99.9% uptime but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance. We are not liable for loss resulting from service unavailability.
5.4 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BuildCVFast's total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100 USD, whichever is greater.
5.5 Indemnification
You agree to indemnify BuildCVFast against any claims arising from your misuse of the Service, your CV content, or your violation of these Terms.
6. Account Termination
6.1 Termination by You
You may delete your account at any time through account settings. This permanently removes your account and all associated data within 30 days.
6.2 Termination by Us
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or abuse the Service. We will provide notice where possible.
6.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Pro subscription charges will cease at the end of the current billing period. Data deletion follows our Privacy Policy retention schedule.
7. Governing Law & Disputes
7.1 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. For users in the European Union, EU consumer protection laws apply and cannot be overridden by these Terms.
7.2 Dispute Resolution
We encourage resolving disputes informally first. Contact support@buildcvfast.com and we will respond within 5 business days. If informal resolution fails, disputes may be submitted to binding arbitration.
7.3 Class Action Waiver
You agree to resolve disputes individually and waive any right to bring class action lawsuits, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
